A Year in Hawaii - by Helen Chellin. In this 'jewel case' structure the twelve photo printed images are from the unique edition of acrylic paintings. The images are printed on photo paper and placed inside each case. Each case holds a month calendar printed on textured Strathmore paper. Tapa cloth covers the front of each case. The back is origami paper. The 13th case holds information about the edition. All cases fit between metal bookends. The bookends are partly covered with Tapa cloth. Each case has a magnetic strip on the back. Each case can then be viewed individually by placing the magnet on the front side of the bookend. In this mode the case fron flips down to reveal a calendar month below and Hawaiian image above.
